
Back in August, 2011, I decided to look into weight loss through Bariatric Surgery at a noted Medical Center. I went to their seminar and it all looked promising. We were told that we would have to start excercising by walking and taking vitamin supplements. This regiment would continue for the rest of my life. Then they presented one of their weight loss patients to show us what we could look like after the surgery. She was just a somewhat smaller version of what she use to be with no form or definition. I was concerned. I took all of the pre-op test in the month of December and all test came out well. I shared my concern about the woman I had seen with a close friend. I told him I wanted to be better than that and I was concerned with definition and tone. He told me that he had a friend who worked for 220 Fitness and arranged for an appointment and a tour. 220 was just what I needed; quaint and comfortable, a great staff with welcoming attitudes and a convenient location. I was introduced to Evan Russo as my trainer. Evan is amazing!!! I don’t compare him to anyone but he is just right for me!!! He listens, evaluates and puts you in the right place and frame of mind to do what you need to do. After about three weeks, I told my son about it. I also told a good friend too. Now three months later, my son, my friend and I have never felt better. I couldn’t get up off the floor when I started at 220. Now, Evan has me doing things I thought I’d never do again in life! I call him “Master Trainer.” My son comes faithfully every week and talks about Evan constantly. He feels more confident about himself and has started to verbally communicate. You have no idea how hard it is to make a teenager use his words in this society. Oh yea, bariatric surgery is an afterthought. 220 is the permanent fix! Thank you.

I joined 220 Fitness in April of this year and have to say that this is the best gym I’ve ever been to equipment, class, and people wise and I’ve belonged to some pretty exclusive gyms previously. The facility is always clean and the locker rooms and showers are pristine. The classes are amazing and you will not find a better combination of cardio and stretching classes anywhere, whether it’s Trent’s All Terrain, Dan’s Strengthen & Lengthen, Spin with Amber or Anja, Bike Pump with Saori, Yoga with Fountain and the list goes on and on…. Since the club is intimate, you can always provide feedback and comments and Heidi the group class director is super responsive and really listens to what members have to say about the classes. The personal trainers there are amazing as well and Liz, Matt, Tiffany and company will work with you on a one on one basis to set your goals and achieve them. One of the best perks of 220 is the amazing staff and owner that make you feel welcome from the moment you step into the club where Matteo, Randi, Bethany, etc make you feel right at home. But the most surprising to me and the X factor that I never experienced in any club before are the members themselves… you get to see the same people in the classes or the gym and I have made friends with people that I truly like and enjoy working out with. This makes the whole experience of the club facility, equipment, and classes even more fun and challenging at the same time. All in all 220 is “my gym” and I’m proud to be a member and spread the word about it!

I cannot overstate the value of having a personal trainer. My work keeps me very inactive and as my health condition wasn’t optimal, I had to find a way to keep motivated and to get results. Liz, by far, succeeds in every aspect. She looks at my diet, plans the exercises, keeps me motivated, she stays by my side even when it’s tough, and overall, her sense of humor keeps it fun and enjoyable. I would recommend a personal trainer to anyone who need to get in better shape, while having a good time.

I tried the Kangoo Jumps Bootcamp/Run. I’m so happy that I’ve finally tried the class and the shoes. I’m almost ready to put the $$$ to purchase a pair of those shoes. That’s how wonderful they are, but I digress, I am here to review 220. Matteo and his staff are wonderful. They’re friendly, knowledgeable and just plain great. I had a wonderful run, workout, and just plain fun. After the hour was over, I felt like we had just started and wouldn’t have minded another hour… The workout was WONDERFUL! Email 220 Second to None for their schedule and promo classes! I just signed up for another class! Can’t wait.

Working out with CC is great! She pushes me to work hard, but is very encouraging and supportive. Also, I love how she is always changing things up and introducing new exercises to keep things fresh and fun. Since starting to work out with her I have lost over 20 pounds and can really see my body becoming leaner and stronger. I’ve never looked or felt better!

Liz is a stellar trainer. Not only does she make the training sessions challenging and inspiring, Liz is a very careful observer of how the trainee uses or misuses her body. From Liz, I learned how to correct for my weaknesses, which no other trainer I have worked with ever pointed out. This demonstrates Liz’s high level of training as well as sincere dedication to her clients. Liz is also super fun. If you want to reach a goal, Liz is the one who will get you there!

I’ve been working with Liz for the last 6 weeks and have already lost 2 inches around my waist and gained the muscle definition I was looking for. The workouts are challenging and always different so things stay fresh and interesting. And who wouldn’t love a good assisted stretch at the end of a hard workout to stay limber and loose!
